A graduate of the George Washington University with an M.F.A., he has worked on the private residences and offices of many prominent clients in the District of Columbia and New York. His work has been featured in publications such as Washington Spaces, Washingtonian Magazine, The Washington Post, Washington Life, DC Modern Luxury and Small Room Decorating.

Christopher Boutlier creates pleasing interiors that reflect the people who live and work in them—their lifestyles and their sense of style. He aims to design spaces that excite clients aesthetically and that they enjoy living in. He works closely with each client, overseeing every aspect of the project to achieve an impeccable result.

His are fresh, modern, crisp, yet soft; elegant and restrained, yet comfortable. They combine old and new elements. They are noted for their sightlines--arrangements of architectural details and objects in rhythmic progressions. His interiors are a soothing antidote to the visual bombardment and clamor of everyday life.

Art impacts space; a space impacts how art is seen. A trained design artist with an expertise in contemporary art and photography, Christopher Boutlier is skilled at pairing art and interiors. He contributes to the selection process of works of art as part of the design process, and creates spaces that are ideal for experiencing and living with works of art.
